Response to COVID-19
The Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability has suspended all public events.
This is to reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19.
We have suspended public hearings, community and information forums, and private sessions until further notice.
We are doing this to protect the health and safety of the community. In particular, for people with disability.
We have postponed public hearings in Brisbane. These includes hearings on education next week and the justice system in April.
We have postponed our public hearing in the Northern Territory on First Nations issues in May.
People can still tell the Royal Commission about their experiences by phone, in writing or by making a video.
Further updates will be available on our website, newsletter and social media channels.
